The president of Fluminense has revealed dialogue with Liverpool over the transfer of Andre Trindade while confirming when the Brazilian club will be willing to sell.

As the Reds underwent major surgery in midfield this summer, the 22-year-old was linked with making the leap from the Brazilian Serie A to the Premier League with the Reds.

The ECHO understands that Liverpool opened talks with Fluminense in August over Andre. However, the Tricolor's participation in this year's Copa Libertadores cast doubt over the possibility of a summer switch as they sought to keep hold of their star man.
