Alexander Isak declared his Liverpool debut an ‘amazing night’ while sharing his gratitude for the welcome from supporters.

The Sweden international was named in Arne Slot’s starting XI for Wednesday night’s Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid.

His maiden appearance for the club lasted almost an hour of an eventual 3-2 win, dramatically clinched courtesy of Virgil van Dijk’s 92nd-minute header.

“Amazing night to make my debut,” Isak posted on social media today. “Thank you for the warm welcome Reds! YNWA.”
