After a goalless first half, the Reds roared to a stunning 4-0 result against the Bundesliga title-holders, with Diaz’s delightful dink breaking the deadlock.

Gakpo headed in from Mohamed Salah’s assist two minutes later and Diaz added gloss late on by wrapping up a personal treble to confirm a fourth European victory of 2024-25 for Arne Slot’s team.
