We gave the opportunity to two of our lucky members Lou and Kurt to meet up with the team along with a surprise visit from Jason McAteer.

The three of them had a little chat and got to know each other at McGillin's Olde Ale House.

“It was quite the surprise meeting Jason McAteer, a Liverpool legend who played in not one but two World Cups for the Republic of Ireland, in a pub in Philadelphia. Jason was kind enough to take time out of his busy schedule to chat with some local Reds about our Club, the game and life. It was a moment that shows how the LFC family is at once global but still so closely connected. What a moment!" - Lou

Q&A Event with Jason McAteer

On the Saturday Afternoon, the lucky winning members selected, were invited along with a guest to attend our Q&A event with Jason McAteer.

This gave the members photo and signing opportunities alongside getting to know Jason a little more by asking the questions they had always wanted to know.

A ‘Red Ticket’ was randomly placed in one of the attendees exclusive LFC goody bags, which Kathleen had won and received a signed Fabio & Thiago 2022/23 home shirt!

"The Q&A with Jason McAteer was a fun event full of Reds. I felt welcomed and enjoyed having Jason answer my question about kicking an American football at the Eagles training center. As an LFC member I won special tickets to the event and got an amazing goodie bag and dinner. I also was fortunate enough to win a signed jersey that I will cherish and is already framed” – Kathleen

"We had heard Jason speak in Boston. What he never mentioned was about how he got to play for Ireland! Glad we had the opportunity to hear him again and answer our questions. It never gets old.. We had a brilliant time sat with a supporter who we just met from Texas. We also met more people from the Philly supporters that we had not met before also. Most of all it was nice meeting the LFC crew from home, made us home sick listening to the accent. Thank you for putting this together and giving us a goodie bag." - Kevin & Angela

Fan Fest @Dilworth Park

Members had the opportunity to enter a competition where they were able to gain an invite to the NBC Premier League Mornings Fan Fest in Dilworth Park along with a guest.

The day included special visits from Mighty Red and the Smackdown Superstar Sheamus from WWE, where many fans were able to get some fantastic photos and received some special LFC and Mighty Red gifts.

"At the fan fest on Sunday LFC fans were in full force. I was fortunate to get club access thanks to being a member, so I was one of the first ten people into the event. Fellow club members and I ran into the lovely team from LFC and got some extra goodies. We also got to sing Allez, Allez, Allez in front of Stevie G's Hall of Fame jersey. It was a day to be remembered and I know every one of the LFC fans there had a blast, Sheamus included. YNWA" - Kathleen

"Fan fest was brilliant! We had a great time there also. People were taking pictures of our Champions League trainers. We met a woman from FIFA taking pictures for 2026 world cup, which a game will be in Philly. They had a record crowd of over 14,000 for the event. YNWA" - Kevin & Angela
