We caught up with Logan who was selected for the Carabao Cup Final to be the LFC Mascot for the day...

What is your name?

Logan

How old are you?

9, nearly 10

What Membership do you have?

Junior Membership (Red Squad)

How long have you been a Member?

5 or so years I would say

Where did you travel from and who came with you?

We travelled from Mansfield in Nottinghamshire on the morning. My Mum and Dad came with me and the rest of my family and friends watched at home.

Who told you and where were you when you were told you were going the be a LFC Mascot for the Carabao Cup Final at Wembley?

My Dad told me as soon as he got home from work. Mum shouted me down as I was on the PlayStation at the time and she said they had something to tell me. When I sat down they told me that I would be the Mascot at Wembley for Liverpool in the Carabao Cup Final. Wow!

How did you feel when you found out? What did you do?

I didn't believe my Dad at first as it sounded too good to be true but when I found out it was real I was completely speechless. So many emotions. I was feeling overjoyed, and I was filled with excitement and I was bursting with happiness.

Who were the first people you told that you were going to be a mascot?

I told my friends straight away and they also couldn't believe it. Some of them are really big Liverpool fans too so were very jealous but also very excited for me. Next I rang my gramps to tell him as he's a life long Liverpool fan so know he'd be ecstatic, which he was! At school the next day I told all the rest of my friends and even my teachers.

Which players were you most excited about seeing?

I was excited to see all the players but especially Mo, Virgil, Darwin (my Dad says I play like him) and also Jurgen as he's the best manager.

Who is your favourite player at Liverpool?

Mo Salah because he's really good at shooting, dribbling and passing and his overall consistency for Liverpool has been incredible. I'm glad he plays for Liverpool. I also managed to get a photo with Mo which was a huge highlight for me.

What were you most looking forward to as being a LFC Mascot at Wembley?

Seeing all the players and walking out with Virgil.... I wasn't quite sure what to expect as I haven't been a mascot before, but what happened on the day was even better than how I dreamt it would be.

What was the best part of the day?

There are so many highlights as it was the best day of my life. My personal favourites were getting high fives as the players were coming off the team bus.

Seeing all the players in the tunnel and going to warm up on the pitch. Getting photos with Jurgen and Mo. Warming up and having a kick around on the pitch with the other Mascots.

Probably my favourite part and one I'll never forget was walking out in front of 88,000, next to the best defender in the world, Virgil Van Dijk. I was so happy to be the Mascot in Jurgen Klopp's last League Cup Final and we won.

What an amazing day and thank you so much for making this happen, I will never forget it.

If your child is 6-11 years old, you can sign them up for LFC Official Mighty Red or Red Squad Membership next season, to automatically be entered into the draw to be an LFC mascot and to get access to enter many more money-can’t-buy experiences.
