The forward netted for the 21st time in 2025-26 to decide the U18 Premier League North fixture in his team’s favour.
There was early pressure from Boro at Rockliffe Park, with Joseph Jones’ effort from range drawing a save by Kornel Misciur.
Listowell Hinneh was then close but off target, though attempts on goal were limited for much of the remainder of the half.
The Reds did begin to exert control on possession, however, and La’more Lee Forrester struck over the crossbar from one opportunity inside the area.
Just over an hour had been played when the visitors broke the stalemate.
Erik Farkas and Sonni-Lambie combined for the latter to add yet another goal to his season tally, picking out the bottom corner with a left-footed hit from outside the box.
Lee Forrester was denied a second for Liverpool by Boro goalkeeper Joseph Richardson, before the hosts threatened late on.
Misciur had to make a low stop to keep out Joe Roberts’ effort and Ike Givenson sent a headed chance wide seven minutes from the end.
The single goal nevertheless proved enough for Simon Wiles’ Reds to clinch three points in the north east.
