Willie Steel was a defender who represented Liverpool in the early 1930s.
He made his debut at full-back six days before Christmas 1931, a 1-1 home draw with Derby County.
Steel only missed one league fixture for the rest of the season once he had been introduced into the side, was the club's only ever-present a year later, and only missed two league games in 1933-34.
Although he started the 1934-35 campaign firmly in possession of the No.2 jersey, he lost his place before the turn of the year - to Bob Done for one game and then subsequently to Tom Cooper.
