William Chalmers made just two league appearances for Liverpool.

<p>Both came during the 1924-25 First Division season. First he deputised for left winger Fred Hopkin for the visit to Birmingham City on November 29, 1924.</p><p>Chalmers also played at Anfield in a 4-0 win over Bury on January 24, 1925.</p><p>He went on to make a short trip across the Mersey to play for Tranmere Rovers.</p>
