Wilf Bartrop made just three league appearances for Liverpool during the season in which the First World War broke out.

<p>His debut was against Oldham Athletic on December 19, 1914 and he also played in the next game too - the Christmas Day fixture at Bolton Wanderers.</p><p>Bartrop's final game was towards the end of the season, at home to Bradford City on April 17.</p><p>He was sadly killed in action during the war.</p>
