    Wally Richardson played only one game in the Lancashire League for Liverpool in 1892-93.

    He was actually the team's trainer at the time and, due to the club missing players for the fixture, came in at right-half for a 2-1 Anfield win against Rossendale.

    "Under the conditions, [Richardson] made a fair show," according to a contemporary newspaper report.
