Vic Wright played in Liverpool's forward line during the middle of the 1930s.

He made his debut in a home First Division fixture with Birmingham City on March 17, 1934 when the Reds won 4-1 with Gordon Hodgson grabbing all the goals.

Wright played in seven of the last nine league matches of that 1933-34 season and scored twice in those games.

In 1934-35 he and Hodgson scored 46 league goals between them, with Wright totalling 19 from 36 games. But he only managed six from 25 appearances in 1935-36 and four from 13 matches in his final season with the club (1936-37).

A final tally of 33 league and cup goals from 85 starts still gave figures that showed his ability because 1934-35 apart, the club was struggling at the wrong end of the table for most of his Anfield career.
