Tom Wyllie scored at a rate of every other game in the Lancashire League for Liverpool in 1892-93.

The Scot also provided a total of five goals in three FA Cup games during the club's first season of existence.

Wyllie's only year at Liverpool included an historic strike, when the first derby between First Division Everton and Second Division Liverpool took place on April 22, 1893 in the Liverpool Senior Cup final.

A former Blues player, Wyllie scored the only goal in a hard-fought match between the Merseyside teams, who were still at odds after John Houlding quit Everton and formed Liverpool a year earlier.

Liverpool were elected to the Second Division after winning the Lancashire League that term, but Wyllie left and linked up with Bury.
