Steven Caulker made four appearances for Liverpool in January 2016 during a short-term loan spell designed to ease an injury crisis for manager Jürgen Klopp.

<p>The centre-back was brought in temporarily from Queens Park Rangers as the number of fixtures mounted up and the squad became depleted midway through the season.</p><p>Caulker's debut came as an emergency striker in the closing stages of a thrilling 3-3 draw with Arsenal at Anfield - and he was used similarly in subsequent games against Manchester United and Norwich City.</p><p>He then started in a more familiar defensive role as the Reds were held to a goalless stalemate by West Ham United in the FA Cup, which proved to be his final opportunity to represent the club.</p>
