Years: 1935-1936

Stanley Kane was the goalkeeping 'cover' for first-team regular Arthur Riley at Liverpool for two seasons in the middle of the 1930s.
Riley played in all but three of the league fixtures in both those seasons, leaving Kane with a record of six appearances between the posts.
His debut was one to remember, coming in a Merseyside derby at Anfield that the Reds won 2-1, with Kane impressing and coming close to saving the penalty from which Dixie Dean netted for the Blues.
