Ralph Holden was a defender who made just a single First Division appearance for Liverpool in both the 1912-13 and 1913-14 seasons.
His first game was as a member of the side that were beaten 4-1 at Manchester City on January 18, 1913.
Holden's second and last match for the club was in a goalless draw with West Bromwich Albion at Anfield on September 27, 1913.
He left the Reds to join Tranmere Rovers in 1914.
Tragedy struck, however, when Holden lost a leg in World War I. On May 3, 1919, Liverpool and Tranmere played a testimonial game for him.
