Rab Howell was a half-back who played for Liverpool towards the end of the 19th century.

<p>He made his debut for the club in the final First Division fixture of the 1897-98 season and missed only four league games the following year as the Reds finished runners-up to champions Aston Villa.</p><p>Howell was also a regular for most of the last season of the century but played just twice more for the first team after that, midway through the 1900-01 campaign.</p>
