Peter McKinney made three appearances in Liverpool's forward line during the 1920-21 First Division season.

<p>His debut was against Sheffield United early in October 1920 and he scored the Reds' first goal in a 2-2 Anfield draw. But he had to wait until the following April before being selected again.</p><p>McKinney's third and final game was in the last match of the season, a convincing 3-0 home win over Arsenal.</p><p>He later emigrated to the USA and a couple of years after leaving Liverpool he joined the New York Giants.</p>
