Peter Kyle was selected for four of Liverpool's first five league matches of the 1899-1900 season.

<p>But the forward lost his place to John Walker and didn't figure for the club again except for one further appearance in an FA Cup replay with Stoke City at Anfield on February 1, 1900.</p><p>Kyle was a much-travelled player who stayed usually for a short while at each club as he was beset with disciplinary problems. His most prolific spell came at First Division Arsenal from 1906 to 1908, where he scored 23 goals in 60 matches.</p>
