Oyvind Leonhardsen was a regular fixture in the side during his first season at Liverpool, but was mainly used as a substitute during his second one.

<p>An industrious midfielder with an eye for a goal, he was brought in from Wimbledon during the summer of 1997.</p><p>Leonhardsen provided six goals from 36 appearances across his first year at the Reds, but was then used sparingly in 1998-1999.</p><p>Gerard Houllier subsequently sold the Norwegian to Tottenham Hotspur.</p>
