Michael Griffin was one of 29 players used by Liverpool in league matches during the 1907-08 season, but he only made three appearances and just one the following campaign.
His debut came in a convincing 4-1 home win over Woolwich Arsenal on February 15, 1908 and his fourth and final league appearance almost exactly a year later saw a similar scoreline again at home, this time against Leicester City.
Griffin played 34 games for Crystal Palace in the Southern League's first division, then joined non-league Hartlepools United before returning to league football with Barnsley in the Second Division, where he made 69 appearances and scored seven goals.
