Past playersLazar Markovic
Years: 2014-2015
Appearances: 34
Goals: 3
Heralded as one of Europe's brightest young stars, versatile Serbian attacker Lazar Markovic joined Liverpool from Benfica during the summer 2014 window.
Things unfortunately did not work out for him on Merseyside, though, and Markovic spent much of his time with the club on loan elsewhere.
He did make 34 appearances across all competitions in his debut season with the Reds as they struggled to build on the second-placed Premier League finish of the previous term.
Markovic, who also adapted to a wing-back role when needed by Brendan Rodgers, provided three goals.
However, he would not add to those figures beyond the end of the campaign, as he had a series of loan spells in the years that followed - with Fenerbahce, Sporting CP, Hull City and Anderlecht.
Markovic moved away from Anfield permanently when he signed for Fulham in January 2019.
