    Keith Burkinshaw's one and only league appearance for Liverpool came in a home fixture with Port Vale on April 11, 1955.

    He had joined the club from Denaby United almost a year-and-a-half earlier.

    Burkinshaw was transferred to Workington in December 1957, for whom he played nearly 300 league matches, and he also made more than 100 league appearances for Scunthorpe United.

    However, he is probably best known for his spell as manager of Tottenham Hotspur from July 1976 until May 1984. He won the UEFA Cup in his last season in charge of of Spurs.
