Jose Enrique spent five seasons with Liverpool, making 99 appearances in total and helping the club claim the League Cup in 2012.

The Spaniard arrived at Anfield from Newcastle United in 2011 and settled in immediately with a series of confident displays.

And he didn't have to wait long to get his hands on the first medal of his career as he aided the Reds' capture of the League Cup just seven months after switching to the club.

Afforded a licence to attack by Brendan Rodgers, the Spaniard thrived from full-back and occasionally the wing during 2012-13, although the season to follow would frustratingly prove to be one beset by injury.

Sadly, 2014-15 continued in much the same vein, and with the additional competition provided by Alberto Moreno he found senior appearances hard to come by.

Enrique also struggled for regular football under Jürgen Klopp the following season, though he captained a young Reds team in the FA Cup as Exeter City were downed in a third-round replay.

The defender subsequently departed Anfield when his contract expired in the summer of 2016.
