<p>He actually scored on his debut, against Oldham Athletic at Anfield, and played in the first six matches before losing his place.</p><p>The inside-right wasn't recalled until March 1913 and featured in a further five games before the end of the season.</p><p>Tragically, Tosswill died at only 25 years of age, on September 28, 1915, following an operation.</p>
