John Miller was a goalscoring machine in his only season at Liverpool, scoring 25 times in 24 games.

<p>The bulk of those came in the Lancashire League during 1892-93, the club's first ever campaign and precursor to election to the Second Division the next season.</p><p>Miller wrote his name in the club's early history by netting five goals in a 7-0 win over Fleetwood Rangers at Anfield on December 3 - the first player ever to achieve that feat for Liverpool.</p>
