John Givens was a forward who figured briefly during the first two seasons of Liverpool's Football League existence.

<p>He made a scoring debut at Lincoln City on March 17, 1894, netting a second-half equaliser to earn the club a point from a 1-1 draw.</p><p>Givens scored three times in the five Second Division matches he played in towards the end of that 1893-94 season.</p><p>But he failed to add to his total during the five First Division fixtures he was selected for during 1894-95.</p>
