John Curran was a defender who played 20 times in the second and third seasons of Liverpool's Football League existence in the 1890s.
He shared the right-back position with Andrew Hannah, playing 14 times to Hannah's 16, in 1894-95, the season when the club was immediately relegated back to the Second Division after their inaugural promotion year.
The next campaign, when Liverpool won the Second Division championship again, Curran started the season at right-back but was replaced in the autumn by Archie Goldie.
