Hugh Morgan was a skilful little forward who was on Liverpool's books for three years right at the end of the 19th century.

He made his debut at Notts County on April 2, 1898, and played in the last four First Division fixtures of that season, scoring against Aston Villa.

Morgan missed just two league matches the following season and was the club's joint-leading scorer with Tommy Robertson, 10 goals apiece, as they finished runners-up, two points behind champions Villa. He also scored three times in the FA Cup that season.

But 1899-1900 proved to be his final year at Anfield and he joined First Division Blackburn Rovers in June 1900.
