Hugh Morgan was a skilful little forward who was on Liverpool's books for three years right at the end of the 19th century.

<p>He made his debut at Notts County on April 2, 1898, and played in the last four First Division fixtures of that season, scoring against Aston Villa.</p><p>Morgan missed just two league matches the following season and was the club's joint-leading scorer with Tommy Robertson, 10 goals apiece, as they finished runners-up, two points behind champions Villa. He also scored three times in the FA Cup that season.</p><p>But 1899-1900 proved to be his final year at Anfield and he joined First Division Blackburn Rovers in June 1900.</p>
