<p>The regular No.1 for the first half of the 1920-21 season was the legendary Elisha Scott but McNaughton took over from him for the Anfield derby with Everton on October 23, 1920.</p><p>He kept a clean sheet as the Reds won 1-0, with the goal coming 10 minutes before half-time from Dick Forshaw.</p>
