Harry 'Smiler' Chambers sent fear into the opposition with his ferocious left-foot shot, and averaged almost a goal every two games for Liverpool.
Chambers topped the Reds' scoring charts in each of the first five post-World War I seasons, and played a pivotal role in the club winning two consecutive First Division championships in 1922 and 1923.
He netted 41 times from 72 matches during those back-to-back title triumphs.
Chambers continued to score with regularity subsequently and was Liverpool's only ever-present during the 1925-26 and 1926-27 league seasons.
His prolific exploits with the Reds took his career total for the club past the 150 mark before he was transferred to West Bromwich Albion in March 1928.
