Harold Taylor was at Liverpool for five seasons in the 1930s but could never really be considered a first-team regular as he made 70 league appearances during that period out of a possible 210.

<p>Twenty-two of those games came in his first campaign at Anfield, 1932-33, a year when the club finished in the lower half of the table in 14th place.</p><p>Taylor usually played in the forward line and scored on six occasions.</p><p>But these were mediocre times for the club when the team was far from settled and only once during his five years on Liverpool's books did they finish in the top half of the table, when they were seventh in 1935.</p>
