Right winger George Bowen made only two first-team appearances for Liverpool, both in league matches at the start of the 1901-02 season.

<p>His debut came in the Anfield derby with Everton on September 14, 1901 and although he kept his place for the visit to Sunderland a week later, he never played for the club again after breaking his leg.</p><p>Bowen retired from league football in 1906.</p>
