Frode Kippe was a £700,000 signing for Liverpool from Lillestrom in 1998.
Kippe performed impressively for the reserves during the 1998-99 season and made his senior Reds debut in the League Cup win against Hull City at Anfield in 1999, performing well in an unorthodox midfield role, after coming on as a 72nd-minute substitute.
The defender then spent the majority of 2000-01 on loan at Stoke City, before returning to Anfield ahead of the start of the 2001-02 campaign.
Kippe re-signed for Lillestrom in January 2002 and became captain.
