Fred Buck was selected for Liverpool's first eight league games of the 1903-04 season.

<p>But he then lost his place in the forward line to Edgar Chadwick.</p><p>Buck returned for the home match with Wolverhampton Wanderers a couple of weeks before Christmas, though was immediately left out again and made only a further four appearances in the first team.</p><p>His only goal for the Reds came in a Boxing Day defeat by Blackburn Rovers at Anfield.</p>
