Douglas Dick was a member of the Liverpool team during the club's first ever season in the Football League, 1893-94.
He figured in 10 games as they won their first league honour - the Second Division championship trophy - at the first time of asking.
Dick scored in his second appearance (a 5-1 thrashing of Newcastle United at Anfield on November 4, 1893) and his only other goal came against Crewe Alexandra, also at home, towards the end of the season.
