Past playersDoug Livermore

    • Years: 1968-1970

    • Appearances: 18

Doug Livermore was a hard-working midfielder who later became a respected coach with Tottenham Hotspur and was Roy Evans' assistant manager at Liverpool.

He signed professional forms in November 1965 but over the next five years he only appeared for the Reds' first team on 18 occasions.

Livermore had a brief appearance as a substitute when coming on for Tony Hateley at West Ham United in April 1968 and wasn't picked again until the second half of 1969-70, when he played in the last 13 league matches of that season.

He knew his future lay away from Merseyside and it was no surprise when he was transferred to Norwich City.
