Daniel Ayala made five appearances for Liverpool after signing from Sevilla at the start of the 2007-08 campaign.

<p>The Spanish youngster helped the reserves to league glory in his debut season and went on to represent the first team.</p><p>A competitive debut arrived as a substitute at Tottenham Hotspur on August 16, 2009. Three days later he made his first start, alongside <a href="https://www.liverpoolfc.com/info/jamie-carragher"><strong>Jamie Carragher</strong></a>, in a 4-0 victory over Stoke City.</p><p>Ayala also spent time on loan at Hull City and Derby County.</p><p>He joined Norwich City on a permanent basis in August 2011.</p>
