Half-back Charlie Wilson played 92 first-team matches for Liverpool at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th.

<p>He made a single appearance towards the end of the 1897-98 campaign but only seven more the next season.</p><p>Wilson became more established in 1899-1900, when he played in 22 of the 34 First Division fixtures. But although he remained at Anfield for several more years, he would only better that total of games once in any subsequent season.</p><p>His final match for Liverpool came against Bolton Wanderers on April 1, 1905.</p><p>He worked as a scout and trainer at the Reds until 1939.</p>
