Liverpool signed Charles Itandje from Lens in August 2007, but he rarely featured in his three years at the club.

<p>The French goalkeeper was brought in as cover for Pepe Reina, and his first chance to impress came on September 25, 2007 when he started in a 4-2 League Cup victory over Reading.</p><p>However, opportunities proved limited and Itandje slumped further down the pecking order.</p><p>He joined Kavala FC on a season-long loan deal in August 2009 before being released by the Reds in December 2010.</p>
