Bobby Marshall made 20 First Division appearances for Liverpool, plus one in the FA Cup, right at the end of the 19th century.

<p>He started the 1897-98 season on the right wing and played in the opening 16 fixtures before losing his place to Fred Geary.</p><p>Marshall only made one more appearance before the end of the season and just two more in 1898-99.</p><p>He scored twice for Liverpool, both goals coming in a 4-2 home win over Derby County on October 23, 1897.</p><p>Marshall moved south to Portsmouth, where he played 227 games and scored 35 goals from 1899 to 1904.</p>
