Bobby Colvin was one of the very early players in Liverpool's long history.

<p>His three league appearances for the club go right back to the 1897-98 First Division season, when the Reds finished in ninth position.</p><p>Colvin's debut came when he was selected in the forward line for the away game at Blackburn Rovers on January 8, 1898, but he only played twice more for the first team towards the end of that same campaign.</p>
