Bob McDougall made seven First Division appearances for Liverpool in the two seasons before the First World War.

<p>The forward also played once in the FA Cup, in the second-round victory at Gillingham, as the Reds progressed towards their first major final in the 1914 competition.</p><p>McDougall was one of 27 different players used during the 1913-14 campaign and all but one of his league appearances came during the second half of that season.</p><p>He was on the scoresheet just once and that was the only goal of the game on his debut at West Bromwich Albion on January 24, 1914.</p>
