Bob Clark was a superb dribbler who was exciting to watch.

The forward was introduced into the Liverpool side when he played consecutive games against West Ham United and Portsmouth early in February 1928.

Those were his only appearances of the 1927-28 season but he played in 32 consecutive league matches the next season, scoring nine goals, including a brace in the 8-0 thrashing of Burnley at Anfield on Boxing Day 1928.

Although he started 1929-30 in the first team and played in the opening three league fixtures, he lost his place and was only called on once more during his last campaign at the club, 1930-31.

He did, however, sign off with a goal when Liverpool defeated Portsmouth 3-1 on March 28, 1931.
