    Andrew Kelvin was part of Liverpool's first ever line-up for a competitive match.

    The Scot, a signing from Kilmarnock, was in the XI that beat Higher Walton 8-0 on the opening day of the 1892-93 Lancashire League campaign.

    Kelvin featured just three more times in the league that season - all wins - and twice in the FA Cup before returning to Kilmarnock.
