Versatile defender Andre Wisdom made 22 appearances for the Liverpool first team after graduating through the Academy ranks to play for the Reds.

The Leeds-born centre-back, who was also comfortable at right-back, built up a solid CV of experience for the club and his country at youth level before enjoying his breakthrough.

That opportunity came with a senior debut in a Europa League clash with Young Boys in September 2012, which Wisdom marked in memorable fashion by scoring via a header.

A series of assured performances followed during Brendan Rodgers' maiden season as manager, putting him firmly in the first-team picture and earning a new long-term contract.

The defender ventured out on loan for 2013-14 to ensure regular playing time would continue, spending the campaign with Derby County as they narrowly missed out on promotion from the Championship.

Similar loan spells were arranged in each of the next three seasons - with West Bromwich Albion, Norwich City and Red Bull Salzburg respectively.

Plenty had changed at Anfield in the interim as Nathaniel Clyne joined the club, Jürgen Klopp took charge as manager and later Trent Alexander-Arnold emerged as a future right-back.

And Wisdom brought the Liverpool chapter of his career to an end in the summer of 2017 by returning to Derby on a permanent basis.
