Spanish winger Albert Riera spent two years at Liverpool after being signed by Rafael Benitez from Espanyol in September 2008.
The left-sider had a point to prove in English football following an unspectacular loan spell at Manchester City in 2005-06 - and he wasted no time trying to convince the Kop.
An impressive debut in a 2-1 victory over Manchester United on September 13, 2008 was followed a few weeks later with a first goal against Wigan Athletic.
Overall, Riera made 28 league appearances and scored three goals as the Reds narrowly missed out on the title that season, finishing second to United.
A lack of first-team opportunities in 2009-10 prompted an unsavoury spat with Benitez, however, and a transfer was inevitable.
His move to Olympiacos was sanctioned by new boss Roy Hodgson in July 2010.
