The forward netted for the 21st time in 2025-26 to decide the U18 Premier League North fixture in his team’s favour.
There was some early pressure from Boro at Rockliffe Park, with Lucca Kakai close to an opener.
He met Joseph Jones’ pullback from the left at the near post but his deft touch across goal drifted wide.
Clear chances were limited for much of the remainder of the half.
The Reds did begin to exert control on possession, however, and La’more Lee Forrester struck over the crossbar from an opportunity he carved out for himself with a driving run into the area.
Oliver O’Connor also saw a thump towards the target repelled at an awkward height by home goalkeeper Joseph Richardson.
Into the second half, Kornel Misciur stood up well to win a one-on-one duel with Isaac Greenup after he darted into space.
Just over an hour had been played when the visitors broke the stalemate in a very stylish manner.
Erik Farkas collected possession in his own half, spun past an opponent and slid a pass forward to Sonni-Lambie’s run in behind.
And the No.9 added yet another goal to his season tally with a single touch, dinking his finish over Richardson from the edge of the box.
Kakai hooked a good effort narrowly off target and, as the game opened up, a last-gasp block denied Lee Forrester having rounded the goalkeeper yards out.
Lee Forrester was again prevented from delivering a second for Liverpool as Richardson leapt to paw over his curler from 25 yards.
Seven minutes from the end, Ike Givenson could have equalised for the hosts. He got free to meet a corner kick but sent his header wide.
The single goal therefore proved enough for Simon Wiles’ Reds to clinch three points in the north east.
