Liverpool FC has partnered with 1PointFive to create a lower-carbon merchandise line. 1Nil is an exclusive line of products for Reds supporters, giving fans a new way to show their support for the club while supporting its sustainability ambitions through The Red Way. The carbon footprint of each product will be addressed by removing an equivalent amount of CO2 from the atmosphere through 1PointFive's Direct Air Capture technology.

What is the 1Nil product line?

1PointFive developed technology that removes CO2 directly from the air. Giant fans pull air into the facility where it is captured. The CO2 is then processed and stored deep underground. <a href="https://www.1pointfive.com" target="_blank">Learn more</a>.

What is Direct Air Capture?

LFC commissions a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for each product to estimate its Product Carbon Footprint (PCF).Each assessment is conducted against internationally recognised carbon footprint standards. The standards applied to each product are listed in that product's section below.

How is the carbon footprint calculated?

What is the process for carbon credit purchase and retirement?

The LFC x 1PointFive products retail to an equivalent price point of other LFC products. After making emissions reductions in the supply chain, purchasing credits to remove the equivalent quantity of estimated CO2 from the atmosphere, then less than £1 is added to the cost of the product.

How does the price of a similar item which has not been subjected to CO2 removal (via credits) compare with these products?
