Accessing the stadium using NFC technology

Anfield uses NFC (near field communication) technology for stadium entry and all tickets are digital on a smartphone, in the form of an NFC pass. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE DOWNLOADING YOUR PASS

  • We strongly recommend that you review the step-by-step guide relevant to the smartphone that you personally, will use to gain access to the stadium on match days.
  • Please ensure that when downloading your NFC pass, you log in to My Account using the smartphone you will use to gain access to the stadium on match days.
  • iPhone 6 and above, and most Android/Google phones are compatible with NFC technology.
  • NFC passes cannot be downloaded using desktop devices.
  • You must download your NFC pass to the smart mobile phone you are using to access the stadium on matchdays

Season Ticket Holders

Season Ticket NFC passes are now available to download from the ‘Season Tickets’ section within My Account.

  • You will only need to download your NFC pass once

PRIORITY RIGHTS HOLDERS

Priority Rights Holders must download their match ticket to the smartphone they will use to gain access to the stadium on match day.

Local General Sale

Supporters who are NOT Official Members who purchase tickets in the Local General Sale, must download their match ticket to the smartphone they will use to gain access to the stadium on match day.

Supporters that purchased tickets up to Wednesday 9 March will be emailed from Thursday 10 March confirming how to download their NFC Passes to their smartphones.

Supporters that purchased tickets on or after Thursday 10 March will be emailed within 3 working days of purchasing their tickets, confirming how to download their NFC Passes to their smartphones.

The email sent to supporters includes instructions on how to download their NFC Pass(es) using the Apple Wallet and Google Pay buttons included on the email. Supporters must select the relevant option (shown below) to the smartphone which they own and will be using to enter the stadium on match day.

Please Note - Supporters can only download TWO passes to ONE smartphone.

If supporters have more than two tickets within their booking, they should forward their email to friends and family they’re attending with so that additional tickets can be downloaded onto their smartphone(s).

Supporters who do not have a smartphone should have a friend or family member they’re attending with download their ticket for them.

ALL Season Ticket and Membership NFC PASSES WILL NOT BE ACTIVATED for stadium entry for this match.

Please ensure you have already downloaded your seasonal NFC pass onto your smartphone.

Non-Season Ticket Holders and non-Members

Supporters must download their match ticket to the smartphone they will use to gain access to the stadium on match day.

If you are the lead booker and have purchased tickets for friends and family not registered on our ticketing system, please note the following to ensure that they will be able to access the stadium on match day:

  • After logging in, go to your My Account, select the ‘Tickets’ tab, select the transaction for the ticket you want to forward, then click ‘DISTRIBUTE’ and follow the on-screen instructions.  An email will then be sent to the supporter with instructions on how to download their own ticket.
  • If supporters within your booking do not have a smartphone, you must download their ticket(s) to your own smartphone for them to gain access into the stadium on match day. Further instructions on how to do this are included in this video guide

Additional Information

Your NFC pass will be stored within your Apple Wallet if you use an iPhone or within your Google Pay app if you use an Android/Google phone.

If you do not have a compatible smartphone (iPhone 6 and above or Android/google phone with NFC capabilities) to download your season ticket NFC pass to, please click here to request a new stadium access card for which you will be required to provide a photograph.
