Thiago Alcantara 'certain' to join Liverpool
Thiago Alcantara will now join Liverpool after helping Bayern Munich win the Champions League, according to respected German publication Der Spiegel.
The Spanish midfielder was in fine form as Bayern edged out Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 in the final in Lisbon thanks to a second-half header from ex-PSG winger Kingsley Coman.
Thiago - who was on the pitch for 86 minutes of the match - made the most passes of anyone in the final, with his steady display in midfield helping his side take control of the game in the second period.
